If you're in Rouen, there are a few places you just can't pass on.
In the town centre, close to our club, you will find the Old Market Square, where Joan of Arc was executed in 1431. Nearby, the old clock tower, dating back to 1389, stands among iconic cobbled streets. The historic court of justice, in use since the 16th century, is nearby.
And only a few steps away, the cathedral of Rouen rises tall and proud, once the tallest building in the world at 151 metres high.
If you have more time, the Saint-Maclou ossuary, built to store the dead during the Black Plague, is a surprisingly beautiful and peaceful place. You might also like to check out the gothic Saint-Maclou church. The De Gaulle Square is home to the town hall, as well as the beautiful Saint-Ouen abbey. And a few minutes away, the Museum of Fine Arts is home to paintings and sculptures from iconic European artists, such as Monet, Delacroix, Caravaggio, Velasquez, Reubens, Modigliani...
If you're in need of ideas or help during your visit of Rouen, let us know. We'll be happy to help out.
Very close to our centre is a small Carrefour store where you will find food and drink, as well as other first necessities and everyday items.
In the Old Market Square and rue du Gros Horloge, you will find lots of fast food and shopping places. Whether it's souvenirs, skincare products, clothing, or fast food, you can't go wrong in the historic centre of Rouen.
When it comes to souvenirs, the Vachement Normand shop offers unique, colourful and kooky items, as well as locally-made gifts for the whole family.
