The ITF Seafarers’ Trust
The International Transport Worker's Federation is the world's largest group of transport workers, whether they are teamsters, seafarers or railway agents.
More than 1.5 million people work as seafarers worldwide.
The objectives of the ITF, as set out in their constitution, are: "To promote universal recognition of Conventions 87 and 98 of the International Labour Organisation, concerning respectively Freedom of Association and
the Protection of the Right to Organise and Collective Bargaining, other fundamental labour standards and relevant instruments of that organisation.
To support the work of the United Nations, its agencies and other
intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations in these activities promoting peace based on social justice and economic progress.
To assist its affiliated organizations in defending and promoting the international,
educational and cultural interests of its members, involving equitable opportunities, gender equality, and involving young workers in ITF activities.
To assist affiliated organisations by developing research on
issues and trends affecting their members on working conditions, legislation, trade union organisation and education, collective bargaining and other issues relevant to the achievement of ITF objectives.
To assist
workers in the transport and related industries in defending their economic, social, professional, educational and cultural interests." Their Seafarer's Trust service "provides financial assistance organizations whose
services are directly related to the welfare of seafarers," such as our Seamen’s club.

Port of Rouen
HAROPA The Port of Rouen is the number one port in Europe for the export of grain, flour and fertilizer. It is also the 5th largest port in FRANCE. HAROPA represents the Port Authority which is responsible for :
The development,
operation, management and improvement of the port properties.
The security and other missions necessary for the operation of port activities.
Managing and preserving the environment on the public and private areas
it occupies. Promoting river and rail transport, in partnership with competent suppliers.
Developing and managing industrial and logistical areas related to port activities.
To develop missions that help to promote
the port in general. HAROPA is the largest financial contributor to our home.

Mission to Seafarers
The Mission to Seafarers organization cares for "seafarers of all ranks, nationalities and creeds. Through this international network of chaplains, staff and volunteers, it offers practical, emotional and spiritual support to seafarers through ship visits, Flying Angels' centers and a variety of welfare and emergency assistance. Our center is one of the only ones in France affiliated with Mission to Seafarers.

City of Rouen
The city of Rouen has been an important maritime center since before the Middle Ages, due to its location halfway between Paris and the English Channel. But its importance is not only a matter of trade. About 60,000 cruise ships visit the city every year.
In addition, the city hosts the Armada, which is the largest maritime festival in the world, bringing together thousands of sailors and millions of visitors from around the world.

Rotary Club of Rouen
Rotary is an international group of more than 35,000 clubs, which work for these goals :
Promote peace , combat disease, provide access to clean water, cleanliness and hygiene, care for mothers and their children, supporting
access to education, developing local economies.
The Rotary Club of Rouen has provided financial support for the renovation of our bar, support for which we are extremely grateful.

Tourism office
The Rouen Tourist Office is a communication partner as well as a help for the sailors when they visit Rouen. It is also a partner of some animations and visits organized at the Seamen’s Club.
